Perhaps it's just that we've made it half way through (a thankfully rather mild) winter and I'm just looking for an excuse to party-- but Groundhog's day in the last several years has made it's way to the top in Meg's book of favorite holidays.
Here's to hoping for a speedy Spring!

I'm not sure how I feel about singing durges and drinking late into the night to celebrate what the Great Groundhog's proverbial blessings are. It could be worse, but I'm not sure how. ~Laura
seeing as everyone in Chicago is Irish, I think I can get behind drinking (although, I'm not drinking currently) for hitting the half way point of winter. It's a bit of a reach for me to really get behind St. Patt's day-- seeing as like most eurpoean amerincans I've got some sort of mixed bastard heritage-- but then again, do we really need an excuse?
How DID you celebrate Groundhog's Day?
I had pizza at Luigi's with Mike, his friend Mark, Scott Mullaney (remember him? He says 'hello'), his girlfriend Georgia, Dave, and Becky.
Fun times.
Gotta love Puxatony Phil.
